Take a step back in time to 1846 when the Mill first ground wheat into flour. Still water-powered, we continue to grind grain into flour using millstones. Flour milling is done to supply our store where we sell many specialty flours, grains and mixes. We are known for our apple cider doughnuts. Other items are baked daily, sometimes in our outdoor wood-fired oven. We also make our own jams and preserves and have developed our own soup, scone and cookie mixes that are found exclusively here. We also feature local products such as honey, ice cream, artisan cheeses and maple syrup.
Over the years, a sawmill was added along with a woodworking shop. Today the Mill is still in the lumber business, specializing in pine and cedar, and the second floor still has the original belt-driven machinery where we produce Muskoka chairs.
Please stop by for a truly unique visit to one of the last water-powered mills in Ontario. We are open Monday-Saturday from 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
